FOUNDERS AWARD

"In recognition of our Founding Father - Ron Rice"

Ron Rice Founders Award - Perpetual award presented to the member organization that has best assisted with furthering the precepts upon which the California Firemen's Muster Association was founded, that of advancing and preserving the State's rich tradition of the fire service and has shown good sportsmanship and continued and correct safety precautions at Association events and has assisted the officers in the duties for the advancement of the Association.

HAND ENGINE AWARD

"In recognition of Bob Fries and his dedication to the restoration of Hand Engines"

Bob Fries Hand Engine Award - Perpetual award presented to the member organization in the name of their hand engine to have been present at Association events showing the best as either restored or preserved whether by pumping contest, display or parade, or dress of members of that year.

MOTORIZED APPARATUS AWARD

Elk Hart Brass Award - Perpetual award presented to the member organization in the name of their self propelled motorized engine to have been present at Association events showing the best as either restored or preserved whether by pumping contest, display or parade, or dress of members of that year.

FELLOWSHIP THROUGH COMPETITION AWARD

"In recognition of Charley Angell in his Camaraderie of Mustering"

The Charlie Angell Award - Perpetual award presented to the individual who attends and participates in musters, sanctioned and non-sanctioned, who is always lending support and encouragement to other teams and individuals, and is out on the course and behind the scene, helping CFMA officials and host teams, who furthers the attitude of "Fellowship through Competition" with the emphasis on fellowship and who makes us laugh and inspires the rest of the teams to keep the fun and fellowship in muster competition.

MEMBER OF THE YEAR AWARD

"In recognition of Dean Young and his dedication to the Goals of CFMA"

The Dean Young Member of the Year Award - Perpetual award presented to the individual of a member organization that has best assisted with the association's goals for which this organization was founded, whether with the officers and the general business operations, at the musters or with other events that the association has placed their name at anything throughout the year.

MUSTER OF THE YEAR AWARD

"In memory of Bill Mehaffey"

Bill Mehaffey Memorial Muster of the Year Award - Perpetual award presented to the host of one of the Sanctioned Musters as the best muster of the year.

VINTAGE APPARATUS AWARD

"In recognition of Keith "Gus" Gustafson and his dedication to CFMA"

The Gustafson Vintage Award - Perpetual award presented to the member organization in the name of their Hand or Horse Drawn Vintage Apparatus.  Includes Horse or Hand Drawn Motorized Pumpers, Steamers and Vintage Hose Carts, but not to include Hand Engines or Hand Pumpers.

CHIEF CROOK AWARD

Chief Crook Award - Presented to a Chief or Assistant Chief, retired or active and a member, past or present. That he or she has promoted a strong team and family fellowship and participation within the muster association.
