Welcome to the CFMAs Home on the Web. If you found this site, there is a strong chance that you have been contacted by one of our marketing associates. The CFMA is currently soliciting sponsorships that will allow us to spread the Espirit de Corp of the California Fire Service.
The CFMA travels up and down the State of California and into Nevada, with occasional side trips to Utah and Nebraska, not only to compete in the traditional games of Firefighters, but to spread the words of fire and life safety. Another benefit of a CFMA sanctioned fire muster in your community is that there are many non-profit and service organizations that are given opportunities to earn monies for their groups.
Some examples of this are the Tulare County Fire Station #25 Volunteers, who in conjunction with the Farmersville Firefighters have hosted two musters in the last few years. The monies that they have earned have just helped them purchase a new Hydraulic Rescue Tool for E-25. At those same events, the two local high school bands worked together to host breakfast events at the musters. Those teams used the money to help buy equipment and pay for travel to and from their competitions.
While in Woodland, the Kiwanis, the Fire Explorers and the Woodland Volleyball Club all had opportunities to earn funds.
The list continues. Volunteer Fire Companies, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Fire Explorers and Service Groups have all benefited from our events.
A "Burn Foundation" is present at most every CFMA event and is spreading the word of Burn Prevention and Burn Survivor care. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. If their presence at one event can prevent one burn injury, then we have been successful.
We are very lucky have members of the CFMA who have one of the more extensive Smokey Bear collections. Ann and David Lang travel at their own expense not only to collect and show their collection, but to spread the safety message of Explosive Ordinance. This is just one more way that we help keep our children educated. Their safety is the priority.
The events of September 11th were devastating for the world, but the effect that it had on the Fire Service could never be measured. The members of the CFMA rallied together to send monies to the FDNY Widows and Orphans Fund. It was amazing to see everyone come together for brothers and sisters that they never met. It says a lot about the ties that bind us all together.
The CFMA is very proud of our accomplishments when it comes to helping out members in need. At each and every CFMA event we are doing something to support our Health and Welfare Fund. That fund is used to help members and families in need. Funds have been distributed to members who have lost loved ones, health and injuries issues and in some cases, suffered through devastating fires. Even firefighters are not exempt from fire loss.
We are glad that you have taken the time to research our Association. Please take a few minutes to look at the rest of our site and find out a little more about us. Our SCHEDULE is posted and we may be in a community near you this year.
We look forward to meeting you.
