HOSE CARTS |
||
On a signal from the starter (time wil start) the competing team will pull a hose cart 100 feet to the nozzle line. A nozzle with a one inch tip and shutoff valve will be located at this point where two persons of the team will drop off, holding onto the male end of the hose. The hose cart and the rest of the team continue onto the hydrant. At this point two more persons will drop off, one going to the hydrant, while the other picks up the female coupling at the end of the hose and goes over to the hydrant and makes the connection. Those with skill and daring will catch the end of the hose in mid air and take it to the hydrant. After the connecton has been made, the water is turned on. The two at the nozzle have the job of knocking the cone done to stop the time.
