| On July 19, 2008, Tim Mrozinski, CFMA Past President and CFMA Chaplain, traveled to Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Old Sturbridge Village put together their first fire demo and fire display of antique hand pumpers and bucket brigades. It was part of their Living History Museum of 1830 through 1860. Tim was invited to participate by Dave Falconi. Dave was in Columbia during the muster in 2007 and is returning for the Columbia Muster in 2009. The event went from 10 AM to 4 PM and was attended by some 300 people. Tim explained the use and history of the fire equipment on display and also talked about CFMA and our fire musters. The East coast does muster but different from ours. Tim says CFMA was well received and the event was a great success. There are plans to do it again next year. Thank you Tim for representing CFMA in this event. | ||

On December 9, 2007 from 9 to 12 AM at the Clovis Memorial Building, our very own Joe Rosa, CFMA Past President, will be handing out Christmas gifts to kids who are burn victims. At our October meeting our members voted to donate $200 for gifts for the kids. Joe has been doing this for several years. At the same time Joe will present a check to the burn foundation from CFMA. Thanks to all our members for making this possible. This years check will be for $12,000. So if you have some time and are in the area stop by and say Hi. Thanks Joe for all you do. |
